We invite you to join us for worship each Sunday morning at 10:30. We are a diverse congregation, and all are truly welcome. Our congregants come from various faith traditions (e.g. Baptist, Lutheran, non-denominational, Roman Catholic, etc.). Additionally, as a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we are a full communion partner with the Episcopal Church, Moravian Church, Presbyterian Church (USA), Reformed Church in America, United Church of Christ and United Methodist Church.

Some helpful notes for first-time visitors:

• The Lutheran liturgical service is meant to be interactive. You will be able to follow and participate in the order of service using the provided bulletin. There are helpful instructions italicized throughout but please ask a neighbor or the usher if you have any questions. 

• The Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) is open to all Christians of any background or denomination. Juice and gluten-free wafers are also available.

• We welcome and encourage children in the sanctuary. Crayons and children’s books can be found on the table in the narthex. There is also a nursery located at the very end of the main hallway. 

• All activities (choirs, lunch groups, bible study, etc.) are open to all. You do not have to be a member to participate.

From downtown (10 minutes): Take Main Street North. Once you pass Monticello Street, turn left at the first light onto Arlington Street. Ascension is located approximately 0.2 miles ahead on your left.

From Fort Jackson (15 minutes): Take I-20 West to Exit 70. Turn right onto Fairfield Road (US 321). Turn right onto North Main Street. Travel approximately 0.5 miles and turn right onto Wildwood Avenue. Ascension is located approximately 0.25 miles ahead on your right.

From Harbison (15 minutes): Take I-20 East to Exit 68. Turn right onto Monticello Road.  Once you pass Columbia College Drive, travel approximately 0.3 miles and turn left onto Wildwood Avenue. Ascension is located approximately 0.20 miles ahead on your left.

From Blythewood (20 minutes): Take US 21 South. Once you pass Fairfield Road (US 321), travel approximately 0.5 miles and turn right onto Wildwood Avenue. Ascension is located approximately 0.25 miles ahead on your right.
